Charleston weekend part I

June 6, 2017

This weekend I visited Charleston, South Carolina and I completely loved it! Charleston has a picturesque historic French Quarter, complete with cobblestone streets and horse-drawn carriages. It is an art and food lovers dream! We thoroughly enjoyed this romantic weekend by the sea.

Since I do a lot of travelling I always try to travel light and I pulled together a very small selection of some of my favourites items for the weekend. I am not a big into prints, but when it comes to shorts you can’t go wrong with prints. I love that this high waisted silhouette creates a distinctive vintage look, it makes the outfit look more spruced up than regular shorts. I find high waisted trouser so comfortable, especially whilst travelling! I combined these cute shorts with a plain t-shirt and a pair of yellow ballerinas. I always have in my closet a few pairs of ballerinas that are super comfortable for long walks and lately, I have been drawn to these mixed leather yellow pair and that’s why you have been seeing them a lot recently! I’ve also added some pictures of the old town in Charleston to show you how beautiful it is.

I hope you like the outfit and Charleston as much as I do. Have you been to Charleston or a similar historic port town? Tell me about your most favourite memory.
