I met Carlos Blanco few weeks ago, and we immediately clicked! His passion for engineering and sustainability, as well as his broad knowledge on green energies make his conversation about sustainability interesting and pedagogical. It soon became clear that he was meant to be part of Style Indigo!

Today, I am happy to announce that he will become a collaborator on this blog and without further delay I leave you with his first post. Hope you like it!

Provence, not only Provence

What’s the first thing that calls our mind when hearing about Provence? Lavender fields, olive trees, wineries and an indigo blue Côte d’Azur. True, there is quite a lot of all this; anyhow, last decades this region has experimented a transformation that any tourist might realize…

First of all,

SLOW living: Sustainable, Local, Organic and Whole, early introduced by Honoré, is the new flagship. Very noticeable, how urbanism rescues the cultural roots of the city without compromising inhabitability.

Aix-en-Provence has an active Green policy. This not only includes the introduction of flora and fauna but a 100% electric, shared and silent mobility service: La diabline.

Cities honor their history and art: Cezanne and Picasso are absolute protagonists. Cezanne’s house and Antiquités are total must.

Marseilles gorgeous interior design

Primary industry is known, and counts with several case studies: products like Marseille soap, essential oils, rustic furniture or gourmands, obtained by traditional process as saponification or distillation, of low technical complexity but very marketable in various niches thanks to differentiation.
