She's dying , calling for help.. ! Lets help to little creatures to no not die in deep water full of plastic. please act !!!

Bringing awareness into the environmental issues is the first step towards resolving them. It is essential and art is the best tool for achieving the goal in a beautiful and meaningful way. This was probably Anna Panic’s thought when she decided to star the “Conscious” project.

We are queens (kings) of plastic straws. Single-use plastic have a shockingly short lifespan, normally used once and then discarded to landfill. Like other plastics, they never biodegrade and take hundreds of years to break down. Plastic straws are one such single-use item, and are ending up in our oceans by the thousands. -Americans toss millions of plastic straws every day.

It is always a pleasure to talk about talented and conscious people, but in this case I am also talking about a dear friend! Anna’s lens has captured the drama of the single-use plastics in the environment and the wild life. A series of images that recreate the flight between the animals and the plastic that occurs everyday in the oceans and beaches from all around the world. According to Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF) in 2014 there were 331 million tons of plastic in the ocean, which means that there is one pound of plastic for every five pounds of fish, and it’s being predicted than by 2050 there would be more plastic waste than fishes in our oceans. Panic represents this problem through beautiful portraits in which four female models coexist with the current reality, where plastic has invaded our life’s and environments. An inspiring selection that makes us wonder if we have achieved a non-returnable point.

THE PLASTIC POLLUTION PROBLEM IS IN PLAIN SIGHT. IT AFFECTS US ALL. -Nearly a million plastic beverage bottles are sold every minute.

Panic will be announcing her coming exhibitions with her “conscious” project very soon. Stay tuned if you want to enjoy her work and even have the chance to meet her and share your opinions with the artist! In the meantime, I leave you with some of her touching photographs. Hope you like them as much as I do! I am looking forward to know which one is your favourite, share your thoughts below.

we are living in the Plastic age! for our better future and for our children together we can make a difference by refusing the plastic, redusing the use of it, reusing when possible and recycling correctly! -It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to photodegrade.
