Ikarus, the rebel!

September 22, 2017

During my trip to Peru I come across a wonderful concept store L’ Atelier Café-Concept in Cusco full of beautifully designed Peruvian artisan products. My husband really liked the graphic t-shirts of a lion wearing a peruvian hat, after some research we ended up meeting with Joy, the founder of the Ikarus brand.

Peru – It’s craftsmanship and markets!

September 8, 2017

At the beginning of the week I shared with you my experience on Machu Picchu, but that wasn’t all I did in Peru. Peru is a country with an extreme landscape, which includes the Andes mountains and the Amazon forest. This makes me think that the Peruvian people dress in such a colorful way to compensate for such hard living conditions. July 27, 2017

Today I am featuring an outfit in which the leather accessories are the main highlight because I want to address this leather topic. Media coverage on the growing use of non-leather products has been embraced by many celebrities and fashion bloggers. How to shop ethically

May 12, 2017

There isn’t a clear definition of what ethical is and there is no regulation on who can make a claim. So when it comes to buying ethically, there is no clear black or white, instead it is a matter of applying common sense. There are many different factors that you can consider but ultimately it is up to you to decide what works for you.

My first swapping party

May 3, 2017

Last week was the Fashion Revolution’s week and I could not find any event happening in Atlanta, so I thought “if the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain”, I decided to plan a clothes swapping party at home! Here how it went and what I learnt.

Why donating your clothes is not good enough?

April 20, 2017

There is a growing movement about donating your old clothes. Even fast fashion companies like H&M or Zara are willing to take your old clothes, but what is really behind this? Every time you donate your clothes there are three possible outcomes, they will either be sold, donated or turned into new garments. It all sounds great, except for the following facts:
