You might be wondering what is the meaning of LWD. LWD stand for a Little White Dress, and even though it is not as well known as its black version, I think every woman should have one in her wardrobe. The LWD is a summer classic with a lot of versatility, it can be worn to the beach, when socializing with friends or a summer night out. The contrast against your skin helps to highlights your sun tan! This is one of my favourite summer garments, I actually have three different versions of it in my wardrobe!
Regarding my outfit, I really like this dress because it is simple and has a nautical quality invoking thoughts of sailing the Mediterranean. The sailing touch comes through the strappy strap that also creates a flattering back line. I try to keep the sailing theme throughout the whole outfit by including blue accessories. I have already featured the shoes in this blog with a look that was completely different and although there are quite unique, I find them easy to combine. I have also added some more touches of blue through the jewelry… I am wearing a pair of earring that are quite special since they are filled with blue water. My mother got them for me many years ago when I was going to a boat party, she gave me these earrings to fit the boat theme. I like to revive them for my looks every once in awhile. I have also added a blue bracelet which features a beautiful closing system.
Lastly, I have changed my look through a new hair style for the summer season. I prefer short hair, it is easy to maintain and flatters a slim face. What do you think, do you like it? And what about the dress, do you have a summer LWD in your wardrobe?
