Throughout the years I have lived in different locations and I am a frequent traveller, so I have been finding great spots where you can purchase beautiful vintage and second-hand pieces. Here is a list of my favourite thrift stores!
Seconda Mano
London
Seconda Mano – Off the thrift shop circuit and underneath a hair salon (yes, it is the strangest location ever) you will find a small and charming second-hand shop. A place where some garments own a big name label and the clothes are constantly changing due to their sale or return policy (consignment policy for Americans), each piece of clothing is held at the store for a maximum of 6 weeks.
Pandora – Located in one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in London, Knightsbridge. In a nice environment and illuminated by natural light, this store has a big and great selection from the main fashion houses. Nicely organised by garment type, searching is easy and you will always find love at first sight.
Milan
Cavalli e Nastri – Just a few streets away from the Duomo, the Scala and the Castello Sforzesco, in the established neighbourhood of Brera there is a small and charming thrift store. A great selection in an elegant environment where you can find vintage clothes like Chanel jackets spiced up with an amazing selection of accessories, including Hermès scarves, Dior shoes or Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses.
NYC
Amarcord – Located in the trendy, young and fun neighbourhood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NYC. It is a very clean and elegant second-hand space. They carry a small and very well curated selection of garments and accessories where you can find great treasures.
Majorca
Seattle vintage – Inspired by grunge style and great ambience this space holds the crown’s jewel of Majorca’s vintage scene. It is a must stop by location! A store that features a great clothing selection, where you can find the best pair of Levi’s or the most beautiful vintage shoes. Carlota (one of the owners) is also an asset value to the store. She is charming, beautiful and joyful, with a great taste in trends and always up for a fashion chit chat.
