The jeans obsession!

June 15, 2017

Today, I want to show you an outfit that is super comfortable, very easy to replicate and where the accessories play the main character.

I am wearing a total black look, that is always fashionable and flattering (everyone knows that black makes you look skinnier). The jeans are a pair of vintage Levi’s, that are an American classic denim. As a matter of fact, last week I watched the documentary “Blue gold: American jeans”, which I highly recommend. It was very interesting to see how another country, in this case Japan, embraces such an American icon and creates a whole movement around it. And what I like the most is the Japanese passion for an American product ends up influencing the Americans to again appreciate their own products, their traditional techniques and local manufacturing that has almost disappeared. So from now own, every time I wear a pair of American vintage jeans I will be more appreciative of what it means for the economical and industrial development of certain areas in the US.

I am also wearing a plain cotton t-shirt that has already reached 30 wears! I love a plain cotton t-shirt because they are a basic piece to be worn in so many different ways. I highly recommend to go for 100% cotton t-shirt, ideally organic and with a bit of thick feel so that they will last longer. I have combined this outfit with a snake-print clutch and a pair of mules shoes that are the icing on the cake! I love this pair of super colorful shoes that are a reinvention of a typology that is on trend this season and what makes them look unique are extra big details from the classic shoes!

I hope you’ll love the outfit as much as I do. I would love to hear more about your favourite vintage garments! Share your love comments below.
