I have been AWOL this past week, but I haven’t forgotten about you! Today, I want to share with you the coolest news ever! But let me start from the beginning.
In 1992 Caroline of Monaco went to Provence to spend the Summer away from the press, but the press always finds away to track down sort after celebrities and her images quickly hit the tabloids worldwide. During this summer she dressed in a simple provenzale way, and pictures of her wearing a floral dress went viral. Since fashion was not that fast as it is today, it wasn’t until the following summer this became “the look” of the season. I am sure you all remember those iconic dresses from the 90’s. My mother used to have a brown bottom down version that she stitched together herself, I clearly remember her wearing it! Back then when fashion was more restricted, the garments held more meaning and value to us and became part of our earlier memories!
Today I have something very very special thing to show you! I am wearing one of the most special looks I have in my wardrobe, my wedding dress! It has been a little bit more than a year since I got married and I was looking forward to showing you this beautiful wrap dress.
This week I have been all about creating different outfits with the same garment, so today I want to show you three great outfits with the same cupro top!
I am spending few days in Washington DC and I put together a simple and useful luggage for this trip, full of colorful and second-hand clothes! The items I am wearing today you have already seen while others are new to the blog!
Today I am featuring an outfit in which the leather accessories are the main highlight because I want to address this leather topic. Media coverage on the growing use of non-leather products has been embraced by many celebrities and fashion bloggers. I completely understand that many people do not want to use animals products for ethical reasons, neither I want any living being to suffer, but the problem starts when you want the leather look and replace leather with plastic faux-leather.
We clicked immediately, Daniel was one of the first people I met upon arriving in the US, our conversation centred around our passion for footwear and Spanish craftsmanship! We talked deeply and authentically about his journey, inspiration and how he quit corporate America to launch a footwear brand with his childhood friend. Many trials and tribulations have been endured since they first launched and last Friday was the 3rd year anniversary of Cobbler Union, one of the most prestigious and unique men’s footwear brands in the south.
I attended a wedding this weekend. This is my first formal social gathering since starting this ethical journey and finding a sustainable outfit for this type of occasion can be challenging. So I have decided to use this challenge to showcase an ethical party outfit that I hope you will love as much as I do!
The Summer is getting hotter and hotter in Atlanta, so it is time to bring out the shorts and for today’s post I have chosen an outfit that couldn’t be more quintessentially summer!
You might be wondering what is the meaning of LWD. LWD stand for a Little White Dress, and even though it is not as well known as its black version, I think every woman should have one in her wardrobe. The LWD is a summer classic with a lot of versatility, it can be worn to the beach, when socializing with friends or a summer night out. The contrast against your skin helps to highlights your sun tan! This is one of my favourite summer garments, I actually have three different versions of it in my wardrobe!
