One of my best friends got married on Saturday in Valladolid, Spain. Since I have been living abroad I wanted a very Spanish look for the occasion so I chose two of the most iconic themes found in a flamencos dress; polka dots and a manila shawl.

During my trip to Peru I come across a wonderful concept store L’ Atelier Café-Concept in Cusco full of beautifully designed Peruvian artisan products. My husband really liked the graphic t-shirts of a lion wearing a peruvian hat, after some research we ended up meeting with Joy, the founder of the Ikarus brand.
After the NYFW it is clear that strong colours are going to be hot next season. Colours and trends are closely related to the social and political climate in which we live, and all these strong colour are a declaration of optimism. The world is going through hard times, but we decided to stay positive and hope that things will work out for the best!
I love weddings, it is so nice to spend a full day celebrating love and if that wasn’t enough you get to catch up with family and friends, which makes the day even better.
At the beginning of the week I shared with you my experience on Machu Picchu, but that wasn’t all I did in Peru. Peru is a country with an extreme landscape, which includes the Andes mountains and the Amazon forest. This makes me think that the Peruvian people dress in such a colorful way to compensate for such hard living conditions. Whatever the reason might be, the colorful fabrics make walking through the local markets and shops candy for the eyes!
